Delivered with Missing Chips

My 2022 2SS was delivered without the rear park assist and cooled seating chips. Has anyone else in the same boat actually had them retrofitted yet?

Mine hasn't been delivered yet, but when I ordered they were pretty clear the car wouldn't have the rear park assist chip.

But my salesman did say when they get the chip in, I will get a recall notice to bring it in and have that installed. So there's that. I didn't get a timeframe, though

A GM "Authority" article posted in another recent thread about LPO options being dropped also states: "the limited availability for the 2023 Chevy Camaro’s Rear Park Assist feature has been resolved. Per previous GM Authority coverage, the constraint was in place since June, but returned to regular availability late last month."

That's good news. Hopefully they ship the chips to retrofit soon. It will be really helpful in parking lots...especially parking garages.

Does the window sticker says it includes later retrofit? If it doesn't then it can't be retrofitted. Its not as easy as just adding a chip...

Heard they were supposed to start in October. However, my backup camera will do the trick until time to retrofit.

I signed a document when ordering my 2023 that the chips for the rear parking sensors would have to be retrofitted (and at the time, the heated and cooled seat chips too), but as mentioned above, the heated/cooled seats issue appears to have been resolved, leaving only the chips for the rear parking sensors to be retrofitted.

The sticker shows a -$50 credit on the bottom line price to compensate you from not getting the feature right away. And the part of the harness missing the module has been wrapped in bubble wrap and zip tied up and away waiting for the new module to be plugged in.

It is as simple as plugging in the new module and Im sure flashing the ECM/BCM/radio to enable the feature.

If you are saying adding the feature if your car didnt come with it originally, then yes I agree with that. But if you got the credit for it to be deleted, you will get the retrofit from GM eventually. The credit was a courtesy for not getting it from day one. But you will get it.

Got an email from delivery.chevrolet.com today...

Hopefully they can retrofit the rear parking assist before my car goes away for the winter. If I don't get the notification until then, it'll have to wait until the car comes out of hibernation in the spring.
