Put on my 3D Carbon Fender Vents. It took all my guts to cut in my baby girl. Think they turned out great. Here are some pics.

Painted my Retro SS grill emblem
Got my new RJT heritage grill a few days ago. Decided to remove the bowtie & landing pad kit and install the retro SS emblem. But the emblem only came in white which I didn't like. So we painted them to match RJT. Tomorrow morning the grill gets installed before and after photo's to follow.

Took her to the track for the first time. It was a tire spinning, wheel hopping 2.20 60', 13.56@107.6mph ride! lol all stock with a catback ... got there late and many cars broke so only got 1 run; so that's not even a valid timeslip imo but def. a base point for this car!
I've been 11.20's at over 120 in my previous car p*ssy footing it so this was more of a leasurely stroll lol

Added a design to my headrest and installed them today. If I had to do over I would have lowered the RS a little giving more separation from the car. Was done at a local shop, took a week to get it done. The headrest on the driverside has the car facing the opposite direction.

Installed a Volant CAI and GM strut tower brace
Bought a Volant CAI (Powercore Dry Filter) (3.6L V6) part #151366 from Atlantic Speed for $234.95 and it arrived today. Easy install and matches the other black plastic parts under the hood. I don't want chrome under the hood so this was a good choice for me. Volant was one of the few company's that put a hole in there CAI for the window washer fluid cap - which now does not have to be relocated. Easy install but realy crappy instructions. And they don't tell you about removing a pin bolt on the left front fender in order to install the CAI box. Amazing sound now comes from my engine compartment and I should get better gas millage after I stop romping on it to hear the intake noise in the future.
The strut tower brace came from Pace Performance for $143.05 ( that included the 6 GM bolts) + shipping and was a direct bolt in - except for the aluminum brace looking like crap and me having to polish it out with a mothers power cone and polish. Ok here are the pics !! Both easy bolt in mods !! |

I think I got all the undercoating done. A much bigger job than I'd anticipated...but aren't they all? There's a fish's eye view from the rear attached.
What bothered me was the rust I found on both front struts. I took the paint off down to bare metal, shot some etching primer and then a coupla coats of gloss black. We'll see how it holds up. If I see any rust progressing, I'll repeat the process and cover it with undercoating material.
