Going by the SS tests, Cold Air Inductions seems to be the favorite.

By end of today, we'll know!

I'm betting on Injen as well though want the Cold Air Inductions kit to be close in performance.

Given my SIM is a daily driver all four seasons even though the Injen & its Hydroshield feedback is great I'm concerned over its angle in the engine bay which I think will give it a performance advantage - our notorious water-filled pot holes are like mines waiting for an unsuspecting CAI to get splashed and Injen appears to be most vulernable, hydroshield notwithstanding.

So for me it'll be balancing performance comparison versus design - if close its Cold Air, if Injen is way better I'll have to strongly consider.

Either way Jannetty will earn my business in part for conducting this test - thanks Ted, Nick and Team Jannetty.

I hear ya.........I used to live in Philly. I think as long as you are not stuck in the pot-hole while the engine is on, you will be fine. I think CAIs like these are affected when the car is submerged with the engine running.

My car is also a DD, so I will also be closely scrutinizing the results of low filter placement CAI's vs. engine compartment filter placed CAI's.

As of now though, the Cold Air Inductions unit has not been released for sale.

Agree on the Injen comments though there's something unsettling about how their tube/filter is angled even though the hydroshield appears to keep water off it - its saturation we don't want regardless of how it happens.

I know the Cold Air model is not released - been pinging them and Ted for months - its overdue though at least Ted has one now to test.

What will be the gain? I'm thinking 5-7 HP.
The contestant who comes closest, without going over, wins!
Apologies to Bob Barker.
