OK I did some research

Part numbers for the connector and pin. 15488869 is the connector and 15406024 is the terminal.

Funny thing is that I found the 19115655 print but, the 92225478 I couldn't come up with a drawing. At $10 for the harness though, I'm not too worried about building those myself. I could email the guy and see if he can send me the drawing but, I don't think it's that big of a deal.

They even charged my CC with MORE than what was listed on the invoice.

There are several reputable parts dealers who sponsor here.... I would highly recommend considering them first and at least you'll will know what you will have to pay to get what u want. (I am not a mod, nor do I work for anyone in the car biz... Just a pissed off consumer)

Or even better, lets see what 2SSRS can come up with for prices if he chooses to do a group buy...
And that is why i did not post them at the start i was told the same thing from many PPL, If any one knows a good discount parts out let let me know.

First you will remove the speedo then you need to loosen the metal bar behind the speedo that is what i see but i am still in need of my trim part so have not done it, But did look at it some yesterday.

Madness!!!

I'll do some digging on this. My guess is that there's a 500% markup on that. The steering wheel control harness is only $23. One connector and 6 wires for $85? Maybe it's made from baby unicorns or something
Agreed, But there price is $166 not $85, That is the funny part, Its only a $5 or so for the connector.

One last thing the plug and play Can not be done at the instrument panel, There is no male and female connectors made, There female is a solder on to a board so i will work.

The best place is the 4 pack gauges, There you will disconnect your 4 pack gauges and connect the new harness on one side then on the other side reconnect your 4 pack gauges and then all will work.

I did it this way on my car with out the plug and play.

Looks like i have had all the help i need, I will not release any more info on this if you want a harness you will need to send me a PM, I am tired of the forum sponsors that want to know how to make it work, But don't want to let some one make a small amount of cash to pay for all the hard work.

Look i did this to help and pay for the mod on my car at the same time, If you guys want to do it too make all the phone calls, i did drive 500 Mi to the dealer to see if the parts came in and let us know how it work out.

I just sent and email to Patrick from GM Parts House USA about seeing he can put together a package deal or GP for us on the GM Parts we need (they are a forum sponsor). Once I here from him I will let you know unless he chimes in on the thread (I hgave him the link). I feel that it would be easier than having 2SSRS come up with a package.

It sucks that forum sponsors are giving you static about trying to make enough money to pay for your mods. Hell, I do the same thing with the harnesses that I've built. I don't think any of the standard members here would begrudge you that.

My beef is with the pricing of that connector with 6 wires coming out of it. That is not something that is in your control. I build harnesses for a living and know that price is way beyond inflated. If anything, I'm trying to help you help us by finding a cheaper alternative than buying from GM or a middle man. I've got a call in to my parts person looking for a price. Hopefully, I'll hear back soon and will PM you with the information I get.

I, for one, know what it's like doing the leg work to get these mods going so, I appreciate the work you've done and am sure the rest of the members do as well.

Keep up the good work.

I found the manufacturer of that connector and have 50 pc of them now. If we want more then you need to order 1056 pc min.

If you get the harness from me it comes with all the connectors on it there is no wiring that you need to do, Its 100% plug and play.

Buy the way that is not the right number for the connector so you know and the terminal is not a numbered at all, But good luck that can work or not.
