Installed my New CAI intake

Installed my CAI cold air intake today that I got from Juiced Motorsports. No real issues, except getting the top lid on. Had to adjust the lower box a little and it finally went on. Shipment, packaging, and materials all top notch...very nice.

Took it for about a five mile ride and it sounds nice when you get on it, and the exhaust note seemed to change. Can't say it feels any faster though. Maybe my "butt dyno" is out of whack

Maybe when I get the Vmax ported TB on it will wake up a bit more, but right now I'm not overly impressed from a performance angle. But it looks and sounds nice.

I feel awful that you're stuck working with that woman. How do you concentrate?

It's the same as swapping out your mufflers. I've never believed any of the performance numbers that these companies post. It's not ram air, just a fancier-than-stock intake. But it sounds great and looks cool!

I think the gains are more noticeable when ambient temperature is much lower. In the dead of summer in Texas, for example, IAT's are still going to be above 105 degrees F. I read somewhere (can't remember where, sorry) that a CAI will keep IATs about 5 degrees above ambient.

I'd say calibrate your butt dyno now and then check it again in October/November.
