That thought crossed my mind also. I figured he would publicize that when the calendars were ready. Not so sure now.

The way Danny presented it over on Miata.net forum was that the proceeds (profits) would go to a charity of the community's choosing. And that voting process wouldn't happen until such time as they knew they had any profits. Later, he posted in one of the threads that sales (so far) were low enough that they might only break even.

So, as far as the way it was presented on Miata.net forum, the guy hasn't done anything wrong or suspicious.

Then why the silence from DannyMaro? If he decided too much trouble for not enough return, I'm ok with that but the lack of updates and replies to the questions are cause for concern in my book.

Even if he does come back and make things all "good" again, I won't be purchasing until I know that others who have already paid their money have gotten their calendars.

It's a shame. Good idea, good cause (probably), and I suspect that some people have lost some money.
