My exhaust sounds like this when the AFM kicks in.
Normally it sounds like this.

Sure does. Ss I understand it, the SCT allows the user to apply a more specific/thorough tune than the Diablo.

I don't own a Camaro, but I had a G8 GT with the AFM and never had an issue. I'm not sure how similar the setups are...but, I hope this helps.

I wonder if you have a problem with AFM lifters you can choose to replace them under warranty at the dealer with non AFM lifters?

Tuning out AFM doesn't have any affect on the lifter tap... you either have it or you don't Quote:
I used to have mine active in 5th and 6th gear only in Drive and totally off in Sport mode. With any handheld tuner you can turn it all off or all on... but your hometown tuner guy w/ EFI Live or HP Tuners can set each gear independent in both D and S. |

Have a 2010 6.2 SS2. i disabled the DOD/AFM with a diablo tuner. No more annoying rumble and much more responsive.

I just tuned mine out. No problems!
I was not convinced there was a big difference in fuel mileage anyway. |

So is it 100% true that the diablo flash tuner does not void the warranty on the powertrain?
Based on my research, and talking to a couple check mechanics they said Tech II tool the dealership used can detect that the stock tune was changed at some point, even with the "flash technology". So this must be a complete different process that something like EFI Live or HP Tuners... Do vendors have any type of guarantee about not voiding the warranty? I can not stand the AFM making the car bog between 45-55 so bad with the A6, and even seems like it will bog on the interstate and vibrate. I told the dealership I have to either turn it off, or have them order and warranty M6 gears to pick it up a couple 100 RPM hoping it would help.
