Seems to be a trend of 45th owners who either don't mod, or lightly mod.
I spent a lot of modding my previous car (06 MC SS), so I decided to buy something I'd be less tempted to mod. I agree that I don't think it will be worth a fortune, but special editions so increase desirability. I plan to keep this car indefinitely. Be one of those old dudes with a 'classic' 2012 haha. I've done minor things, vinyl bowties, vert STB... Nothing that can't be reversed. Maybe ill do a few more things in the future, a front splitter perhaps, but I want the car to appear stock to the untrained eye.

If I had a special edition or even a ZL1 I would refrain from doing any mods, but since mine is a Plain 1LT modding it for appearance and minor performance enhancements shouldn't make much difference in resale value but will increase my ownership experience.
I have added my Angrybird emblems, a RX Catch Can, RX ported throttle body, ACS TL1 hood insert, MorPro Auto Shift side stripes, 4 pack Guages, ZL1 Grille, Emblempros 1LT Emblems, Emblempros Colored kick panels, GM Quarter Flares, Husky floor liners, painted the rear panel and added Emblempros style 2 gill inserts. All these mods I feel enhance my ownership experience.

leds in grill, scanner bar mail slot RGB, leds under dash, stock: ...cup holder and footwell lighting, heritage grill, dual mode exhaust, sunroof, polished alloys, CRT paint, clear bra..the options I wanted, and adding options myself...rocker stripes, (changed color and mounting from gold to black, along with the spears), custom mats front back and trunk, hide a plate, catch can, cai CAI with relocate of the fluid reseviour and the scoop, billet ss badges front and back, and my own altered retro v-8 badges for the fenders, ss on the engine cover sides, ss on the dash under guages. DRL leds and wire splice to be fogs, black out gills and accents chrome
Tasteful differenciation from the rabble who drive a 1ls and park next to anyone who may ding your car, or trash it by throwing their fast food bag in the back....We who love our cars cannot help from making them personalized, yes i may not pull the engine and build it better, it will someday have headers when the warranty is up, maybe better this or that, but for now its personalized, and with a wood grain dash kit in what ever flavor I choose, some more tasteful engine dress up, etc etc, it makes it worth winning a ribbon at a car show, not just something stock that only took money to buy, and no imagination to customize. And yes I have had the car a couple months now......Did absolutely nothing to the 2011 2ssrs vert i had escept pinstripe it once because i allways knew i would get another one, man that was a couple rough years....the mod itch had to be scratched.....Boredom does set in.........And if your happy with it just exactly stock good for you, but you too will become restless............... My first car was a Camaro and I just love the car either way. I think its cool to leave it alone or if you prefer "do it up". There are so many different things to do to one to make it personalized and Ilove to see all the different twists that people put on them. For me I like to personalize. I have a few twists of my own to do to mine but for starters I tinted the windows, installed Eibach springs, sway bars and dropped it an inch. Added Lexani wheels and that alone made it stand out. I then had my stripes painted in and old school fade style and blacked out all the lights. I did blue LED footwell and interior lights and added a Monte Carlo SS on the dash panel. I have a blackwing CAI and slp longtube headers. I also changed my badge colors to white in the front and a custom Yen Yang (white/black) in the rear. It is going in the shop in a few weeks to add a SLP supercharger. After that I plan on billet valve covers. I also added custom under hood billets that I made.
I still love to pass a bone stock machine and take a gander. I think they are all beautifull cars and no one should feel embarrased by driving a bone stock Camaro. There plenty of people who would be more than happy to be driving one instead of a boring ass Camary........Drive on, Be proud and shine that Bowtie |

Bone stock so far. The only mod I've even considered is Corsa exhaust & a CAI kit.

Where I live, I rarely see modded Camaros. In the 7 months I've owned mine, I have seen 2 that where modded (or at least noticeably modded). Mine isn't too heavily modded right now, but I am just starting! Some people think its a waste of money, but for me it's a hobby that I really enjoy. I love spending time planning on what I am going to do next, and I love installing the mods! And it is definitely a way to make it stand out, I like making mine different then the TONS of other Camaros I see on a daily basis
