Just had the 1LE track pack added to my 2013 SS

Greetings all. I finally did it. After a good while deciding, I finally did the 1LE track pack. I also had BMR cradle bushings installed as well. After the installation, I had an alignment done and wow what can I say? AMAZING. It's definitely a difference in handling and taking turns with MUCH MORE confidence than I ever had. The body roll has diminished significantly and it feels more solid and planted vs. the original OEM set up. I wish I had bought the 1LE from the get go.

I also have Forgestar F14 20x9.5 up front and 20x11 in the rear with Michelin PSS 285/35/20 on all four corners. If anyone is on the fence about it, I would suggest it, especially with its price. I also debated for a while on z28 suspension, but that was just too much and I don't see myself being too hardcore. Now all I need is the 3.91 gears and I'm set! Still not sure I could be considered part of the 1LE club though. :\

Congrats on the upgrades. I think you made a good choice with the 1LE suspension over the Z/28 suspension if you are not going to get too serious about tracking your car. I think the ride quality of the 1LE is VERY good for it's handling capabilities.

Now if you do try some track days though I caution you...it will be addicting and you will find yourself doing it more. I would suggest trying Autocrossing. It's a lot of fun but not near as hard on brakes as bigger road courses are so your consumable costs are much less doing autocrossing. Even the tire wear isn't too bad because you are only running for ~40-60 seconds or a little more at a time depending on course length.

Enjoy the new found handling confidence!!

Congrats! Was it installed at a dealer?

I bought the kit for around 1300. It was installed at a local shop that works on all sorts of performance cars. Took the car on corners yesterday and boy it is awesome.

Gears would be nice but may wait a while on that. I've spent so much already.

Where did you get the kit? Part Number?

Thanks!

You can locate a dealer near you (from here http://www.chevrolet.com/performance...s/1le-zl1.html) that should be able to get the parts for you and heres the part number for the v8:23123397 (directly from chevys site)

It is a fun ride. Congrats on the upgrade. I haven't driven a regular SS but your write-up makes me wonder why anyone wouldn't buy the 1LE.

It's definitely awesome. I have yet to do autocross or road course, but I would imagine it would be a lot better than regular stock form for sure. It almost feels like I can't lose control of the car, but of course there's always that possibility. I need a driver mod for sure though. I don't know what the 3.91 gears feel like but it's definitely tempting. I have to be good and save my money. But again, I do feel very satisfied with the upgrade and couldn't imagine how the car could get better.
