How will it effect my car being the fronts will be almost an inch smaller?

I believe it kick on the 'traction control' warning light and limit your speed.

Just remember it's more important for a tire to fit properly. If a tire is to wide or to narrow for a rim it won't perform/hook right when compared to a lesser tire that is properly fitted. You wouldn't want to play basketball with a pair of shoes two sized to big or to small. Check out the manufacturer websites and look up the recommended wheel size for each tire. Nitto has a great site for that.

I'm not questioning the width, Just height. The care came factory with 245/45/20 F 275/40/20R . The question is only wat negative effects can arrise from tires being an inch shorter in the front. Rear size will meet factory specs

Outside of the TC warning and maybe an ABS light I'm not sure of any other ill effects. I could be wrong. I think it will throw off the look of the car in my opinion. Your wheel gap will be bigger on the front.
