And the the time given for the ZL1 and Z/28 are high. 12.1 and 12.2 according to Fastestlaps. Propaganda for the faithful.

Given the ZR1 will do a 10.7s 1/4 mile (on stock tires), I'd like to see Chevrolet call the bluff and line them up. Spot Dodge the drag radials.

The price is amazing for the horsepower. I doubt the world will see that '$$$ per horsepower' number again on a street legal, full interior car.

From Motortrend:

SRT Hellcat coupes with the eight-speed TorqueFlite automatic transmission get a reduced gas-guzzler tax of $1700 but add $1995 for the auto option, bringing the price to $62,585. As we've previously reported, the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat makes a whopping 707 hp and 650 lb-ft of torque from its supercharged 6.2-liter V-8. The model comes standard with a 7.0-inch multi-view cluster, and is available with an 8.4-inch Uconnect touchscreen.

Until we know what the rest of the Standard Features are, I'm not convinced that will will be the final price. But if that price includes the same standard features as the SRT 392 (20x9.5-inch "Slingshot" alloy wheels finished in Hyper Black. Those wheels come wrapped in 275/40ZR20-size Pirelli tires, and hide six-piston Brembo brake calipers and two-piece vented and slotted rotors. SRT 392 models also get an adaptive dampening suspension, body-color rear wing, launch control feature, 18-speaker 900-watt Harman Kardon audio system, and other premium features borrowed from the Scat Pack), now that will be one heck of a good deal.

I was going to get a Hellcat but I really don't need to do that. Hell, I might change my mind in a year by then.

I can see you in a Hellcat within a year, and also the first to put an automatic car on stock rubber into the 10s For myself I think I will play with the R/T Scat Pack auto, and work on 11s

If you really mean dollar:horsepower value, (and im just throwing this out there without doing the math) I believe there are already a few cars that are a better value with full interiors.

Mustang and Camaro v6, GT and SS, and probably the discontinued 13/14 GT500.

Truth its, if I still lived in Florida I would 100% be getting a Hellcat. Since I moved to Lincoln NE, I just don't need one. I get enough unwanted attention with the Superbee as it is. If I get a Hellcat, ill be getting pulled over daily. Got pulled over twice in 3 months already. Once for going 62 in a 55 and once for not using my blinker exiting the highway. Luckily I got warnings for both of them. The cop that pulled me over for the blinker violation pretty much admitted he pulled me over just to look at the car. He was in a Charger by the way.....

Since the 8 speed auto misses the GG tax it comes in under 39k. A L99 1SS with similar options is
is 37k and doesn't have a upgraded Dual mode exhaust like the Challenger so in reality a Scat pack auto has a MSRP of only about 1k over a L99. I tell you one thing if someone buys a 2015 L99 SS over a auto Mustang GT or auto scat pack Challenger then that person is either a die hard brand loyal fan, got a huge massive chunk off the MSRP, is in love with the Camaro looks or is just plain flat out stupid.

It used to be that you couldn't fairly compare the 392 with the Mustang GT or SS because of the price difference. That is now over and the cars can be fairly compared. kudos to Dodge as they might actually be on top for at least 1 year of the muscle car wars.
I think it is one of those things where the options even out. you give up the leather, but the 8.4 inch touch screen is standard, so is push-button start, the boston acoustics sound, etc, etc, performance pages, tft intrument cluster, etc, etc. The 392 Scat Pack really breaks out the value quotient now. i was originally thinking why they would still make the SRT 392, but it actually offers a lot more than the Scat Pack or previous 392 standard. For 46k you get a LOT, huge brakes, electronic suspension, leather heated AND ventilated seats, the TA style hood, lightweight rims, back-up camera and sensors (though i think those may also be standard on the Scat Pack). Don't et me wrong, the 5th gen is a great car, but it is certainly showing it's age compared to the new Mustang and the heavily revised Challenger.

I'm guessing you won't touch one out the door for a while for less than 70K.

60K base price is pretty good though. We'll just have to wait and see if any actually go for that.

I think you just have to wait for a few months and they will be sold under MSRP. The people who agree to pay over MSRP are the reasons dealers do it. What the dealers don't realize is they soil their name by doing so. I have purchased many new cars and I never do business with a dealer who is known to sell for more than MSRP. Even if they offer me a good deal. Its a matter of principle.

But on a high note, I think the Hellcat is priced right on the money. I'm a Chevy guy but have to admit I'm quite interested in the Hellcat.

I was off by 15K. I was saying 75K, but I am super happy that I am wrong.
I kinda want this car. The more I read and watch videos about it,...the more I want it.
More than likely the 2016 model.

The more I see the more I want. I like the tech inside of this SRT Hellcat. Does it have HUD though? Some of those performance apps would be nice if they were display on the windshield like the Christmas tree lights.

...maybe one day I will be able to have this as a toy

stingray is a nice car, but hell kitty is more practical for me, being that it has a back seat. and more cabin space. Not to mention the additional 4k in sticker price it well worth it, since it saves me the time and trouble of modifying out the car to get it to 700hp.
