Just got back from Speed Week on the salt flats. Brutal. Two friends destroyed their cars and ended up in the hospital...as did a coupla guys I didn't know. Fastest run all week was the Poteet and Main Speed Demon with an exit speed of 449 mph. He finally set the C/Blown Fuel Streamliner record at 437 and change. The weather was hotter than hell (107 was the highest temp I heard) and it was a lot more humid than we're used to.

I spent the week shooting photos for www.landracing.com and uploading 'em via my Android phone tether connection. Talk about SLOW.... I'm working on the photos/html to put on my own website. It'll take a while, but I'll get 'em eventually

But before I left I had a little spare time so I painted the coils as part of the underhood beautification project. More work there is on the horizon, but I'm gonna race it on the salt in 3 weeks so I'll be spending more time coating stuff underneath to keep the salt from sticking and the other projects are gonna be secondary.

Tried to add a little bass to the BA system

Used double sided 3m tape to stick that RCA thing. The wiring doesn't actually look like that. This is more of a fist attempt mock up.

Can't say I'm impressed, but it's better than it was. For the cost and considering it's been around 18 years since I installed a system. No infotainment systems back than. I guess it's not bad. Maybe get some pictures when the sun is up.

looks like the back bowtie is now two sideways T's put together instead of one chevy emblem all together... like they separated it down the middle, too. What is the point of that? Bothers me a bit...
