coil pack unplugging
For whatever reason, we can unplug one bank of coil packs and the car still runs. I've only ever done this by accident, in my driveway.
Keeping in mind that I have a turbo, could I do this on a long highway trip? Does the ECM know to shutoff that bank of injectors or would I have to pull the fuse for that injector bank too? [Mind you, I don't normally care about MPG, but running E85 limits my range due to limited availability]

You absolutely don't want to spray fuel into a non-firing cylinder. You'll foul the plugs, and load your oil with fuel. Honestly, I get what you want to do, but wouldn't do it.
