Just installed my Solo Cat Back...

Camaro Mach-XL with J's on my LS3. Quite honestly it's only a tad louder than the GM performance axle back that came on it. Will it " live'n up " as the exhaust breaks in?

Doesn't sound like this:

should liven up a bit as it ages. Have you taken it out on the road yet? Or better yet, have someone else do a drive by for you. Probably louder than you think on the outside. The JBA high flow cats that installed really woke up the sound of my magnaflow cat back system.

It will break in as the resonated X breaks in - also not sure if that car has the high flow cats also? Another thing to note is that it is much quieter inside the car versus listening from behind - it's really deceptive in that regard. I love mine, even more so with the high flow cats!

Mine did. I didn't notice it day by day but one day after a couple months, maybe 1,000-1,200 miles, I noticed the car was louder than when I had the Solo installed. It does sound a lot different standing behind the car, too. If you want it a lot louder just add headers, high flow cats, and a cam. I couldn't believe how much louder that made it.

I have 20k miles on mine and if it changed it wasn't enough worth mentioning. If anything is should mellow as the carbon builds up. SOLO made these so the packing doesn't burn up or blow out. Without either one of those things happening, it's not going to get louder.

Add their highflow cats and it will sound great. Mine sounded better and louder with the SOLO mid pipes than it does now with headers.

Haven't looked yet, but where is the last O2 sensor? Will adding the hi flo cats throw a CEL?

Resr O2 sensors on a stock setup is between the two cats on each side. SOLOs have the second O2 bungs right behind the cats and come with extenders. Mine never threw a code.

You'll get a nice performance boost from the high flows as well.
