just talked to dealer said car sitting in customs. Exhaust is at the dealer now and should have car next week!!! Camaro Tracking says that it has not shipped yet but dealer said its waiting to come over border to buffalo!!!

Called the CSX automated tracking and as of noon today the rail car with the Camaro was "constructively placed" in Mira Loma, California (relatively close to the dealer). I believe constructively placed means that the rail car has been delivered, but the contents have not been picked up by the customer (which I assume is a truck hired by GM to deliver the car to the dealer). Darn, doesn't look like it will be here by tomorrow. And even if it was, I'm leaving Sunday for D.C, and won't be back until Tuesday afternoon. Arggh, this small trip is gonna kill me knowing my car is waiting for me.

I picked up my car at 5:00 PM from the dealership..............and WOW!!!
I just got in from playing with all the gadgets. I linked my iphone through bluetooth, plugged in my iphone for the ipod usage and set up the built in garage door opener. I set up everything to my preferences but I have a problem with one thing. IF you ordered the RS package the fog lamps don't work. This is in the manual. That sucks. But the car is a dream come true!!

Yea, I've read that the RS package doesn't have control over the fogs. They are more like day time running lights, right?

Is anyone else's car on CSX train car #ETTX850554? They're saying the car is in Portsmouth OHIO this morning. I live in Roanoke Rapids, NC. Hoping it shows up before the 30th.

correct you cant control the fog lights on an RS model and yes they act as the day time running lights

I just called the automated line and it said the car is at an interchange in Detroit as of 2 this morning. Hopefully it'll get to Alabama sometime next week!

Does anyone know if they update the statuses on the weekends and if there is any movement. I have been at an interchange in Buffalo, NY since Friday at 3:24 am? Thanks.

Getting close. Constructively placed last night in OK City. Of coarse the holidays next week will slow things up.
