Polished my exhaust tips!
Ok, my Adam's metal polishes arrived today (they sell 2 polishes meant to be used in sequence). I got right to work cleaning and polishing the exhaust tips and took before and after pics, so here they are...
Left before: Right before: Left after only cleaning with Adam's All Purpose Cleaner: Then I went to work with Adam's metal 1 polish and metal polish 2. (I also used a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser to get that little bit of black ring from just inside the exhaust tips.) Left after: Right after: I think I could spend a little more time polishing some of the fine scratches out of the tips, but I'm very pleased with how they came out! |

Thanks! What is the best way to get some of those fine scratches out of the metal on those exhaust tips? (You guys at Adam's Polishes have taught me to see every flaw!) Should I use more Adam's Metal Polish and elbow grease, or would some Adam's Revive Polish help? |

Stick with the metal polish, go at it with the #1 until you're satisfied.
(think of #1 as the metal polishing equivalent of SHR and #2 as FMP) You can also (if you have one you don't mind killing) use the blue side of the flip polishing pad. It seems to give the polish a little more "bite" than the microfiber does. |

Thanks for the tip. I used a new black foam block (cut in half) to put the polish on. That black foam my not have any bite to it. I usually use those to put Super VRT on my wheels and other black rubber pieces. I have one of the flip polishing pads. May be time to place another order for more of those... (I only had 3 orders in the last week of Adam's stuff!) |
