You don't have to be a hardcore racer to come out and enjoy these events. This year the LSX Challenge has a category JUST for us 5th Gen Camaros, and these events are GM only, so there are TONS of vendors onsite to help you get the best mods for your style!

There's also a car show, for those of you who don't really care to race, but want to show off your mad detailing skills!

I was hoping to make this and the All State Meet. Finally found out that I can take all next weekend off, but I gotta get out early Friday if I'm to go (Orlando).

This might still be an option for me too. Just tough for me to commit yet with all that's going on over here.

Believe me, you'll prolly be the first to know if I can make it!

I went to the finals in indianapolis last year.didn't race but I showed my car and pulled down top 25 and you get to watch the drags all day instead of sitting by your car. Fun times!

I sent an email to the NMCA for clarification for just the 5th Gen Shootout

Theirs a huge difference between a DD and a real drag car for which theirs different catagories to race in at this event

The 5th Gen Shootout is my understanding for DD street legal Cars

Yepper you are correct

Response from NMCA " NMCA NHRA rules apply. The need for a roll cage depends on your ET and/or MPH"

Under 11.49 you need a 5 point cage

Yep.....11.49 or faster needs a cage, driveshaft loop, etc. FULL NHRA rules will be enforced at this event.

However, if you are slower than this (which most of us are), then you will just need the basics--helmet, long pants, closed toed shoes, etc.
