How can you get that close and give up. Just think how you will feel when you see the Camaro on the road. I would re-think that one.

well i know what you mean. they are ******* up somewhere. they should be more worried about the people who are waiting to purchase to help them get out of there so called bankruptcy. i know some one is thinking of the challenger over the camaro cause they are takeing so long. shit i am looking at a street leagal f1 for 35,000 flat and sorry but that car will eat up lambos ferraries the camaro fords stangs but only one problem wouldn't be a car you can drive around on weekends like you could the camaro. look it up the g3 cars on youtube.

I hope you enjoy the car! In all honesty, I don't know how many people can blame you with all the allocations/restrictions/typical GM bullkrap, etc. that GM is putting on the Camaro.

I'll think "nice car." What else would I think?

My problem is that I had NO IDEA when to expect my car. None. The dealer had none. So screw it. I found a car with more options, equal power, better warranty.

I will miss OnStar though. I had a nice conversation with the OnStar lady when I called to cancel. I had to assure her that I LOVED the service, but was getting a car that didn't have it. She was so nice!

The Camaro is a 2010 model most of the time we cant touch them until the 3rd quarter...So GM is doing a great job getting them out by May 2009.

Well I hope everyone enjoys their Camaros. I'm sure I'll enjoy the Genesis. Can't wait to actually try the parking sensors! The base 3.8 I test drove didn't have them.

While I can see the OPs point and view, If you really want the camaro, I would wait for it. If it really doesn't matter to you, I don't think you can go wrong with your choice .. it will be a good performer ..

Again though .. if you really want the camaro, I say wait for it. You won't be dissapointed and you won't be wondering what if ...

I can understand your frustration. Hell I come from a die hard GM family and I'm still upset at the jacked up delivery process. I saw a bright yellow genesis at NAIAS and wasn't too impressed. I really can't stand the front end. But I saw one yesterday on the highway from the rear, and I liked it a lot more. You certainly could choose worse cars. I hope it lives up to the quality you expect, and you enjoy it. It might hurt when you start seeing Camaro's around though!

If he has the passion for Chevy like most of us up here, then he's making a big mistake. However, I don't think that is the case. I mean for most of us Chevy and the Camaro is like family and we would never betray family, but for him I really don't think it's like that. Enjoy your new ride. You can always get a Camaro later if you think you screwed up.

coming from someone who canceled his 2SS/RS order because of stupid crap, I honestly think you're making a bad decision to choose something else... but it is your money... good luck with the new car and make sure and post some pics of it

The Genesis seems like a decent car and market competition for the Camaro. I sat in one and wasn't comfortable but I forgot to try adjusting the seat. I may still test drive one at some point.
