What is the Best Drag Radial for our cars?
I`m making awesome power and need a good drag radial for the car. I`m wanting a 315 instead of a 305 for her. What is your thoughts on this? Thanks!! First and second gear don`t exist and 3rd spins good....Auto This car is amazing to drive.. Sorry, i messed up on the topic. I`m wanting something like a nitto 555R type tire. Car is pure street car, no track.
705rwhp 694rwtrq auto

Not sure there are any 315 drags out there.
M&H make a 325 in a 17 and 18. With proper technique I'm sure a 305 DR will hook up. |

Sorry, I meant a street radial tire for traction. I just realize I posted incorrectly. I know nitto makes a 555R, but I want to drive the car on the street as safe as I can.

To make use of 705 rwhp in my opinion you would need MT 305/35 20" on the rears, otherwise go for Michelins super sports with 315/35 20" in the rears

I bought the nitto NT05r drag radials (315/35R20) won't know if they are any good for a couple of month yet!! I only drive the car in good weather and take it to the track on the odd weekend. I will probably put nitto 555R's on the front.

FYI - The Hoosier DR hooks much better than the MT DR; but wears incredibly fast if driven on the street. They're also 5-7-lbs lighter compared to the MT version in the same sizes. MT just came out with a Radial Pro but it's a 275/15 size only that is supposed to be better than the Hoosier. |

315/30-18 is the only thing close I see that would fit in 18". only 26.0 diameter.

Yeah, they need to make bigger sizes in that tire. They flat out hook.

i don`t want to buy another wheel and the car is a street car only. I want the best tire I can get for my 20x11 wheels for traction and want a nice look. What about BF Goodrich radial? I want 315 for the nice look out back on the car. Nitto`s look good and come in a 315. My wife drives the car a little, we try our best to stay out of the rain in it. I`m going to look up the Michelin tires

BF goodrich has a low limit top speed I already looked into it....
Well assuming you will never go above 168mph Thats why if you want the best compromise for 315 just go Michelin its unlimited top speed (again assuming you track/drag whatever) http://www.tirerack.com/tires/TireSe...35&diameter=20 |

Which Michelin would you recommend. I do like them from what I can see and would be safe for the wife to drive the car.
