XM Keeps screwing up? - Camaro5 Chevy Camaro Forum / Camaro ZL1, SS and V6 Forums

Anyone else have this issue? My XM (sub is paid thru sept) suddenly now since thursday randomly switches to "channel unavailable", most of the times its after I lose signal under an overpass. It automatically puts me on the preview channel. If I hit a preset it goes right back but its getting REALLY annoying. It happened alot thursday and friday, then it stopped, today it started again. Called XM and they said no problem on their end, take it to the dealer. Anyone else have this issue? My cars an early build so that may be part of it.

Never had that issue in 8 months. Mine will temporarily drop out under an underpass but keeping on playing once I've passed through.

I just renewed my sub last month, after not having it for about 6 months, and the reception seems much worse. Only in my Camaro though. At the same time, I ordered one of their $100 units with the FM modulator for my squad car and the reception is excellent.

Mine started doing the same thing since last week, car is fairly recent (built in Feb). My wife has a portable XM in her car and hasn't had any issues.

Ok so you're the 3rd person on this forum that has told me this... Sounds like its a problem with XM and not the car.

Had my car 13 months. mine will drop out occaisionally in desolate areas, but never to a point that it goes to the preview channel. I'll lose the signal for a couple of seconds then it comes back. Once it a while if I lose the signal for 6-10 seconds the screen reads ""No XM Signal" but comes back to the station I was on. Mine has never gone to the preview channel, ever.

I had a couple of days last week that the XM channel had a "crackly" static type of noise and it was not on the AM, FM, or CD. Anybody have that happen? It seems to be better now.

I really doubt it has anything to do with the cars themselves, mine has been fine all along and now I get the same exact problem as the OP at the same dates. Mine starting acting up on Thursday/Friday and then was fine till this morning when it did it again.

i am having the same exact problem. it keeps going to a preview channel. i hit the station button and it goes right back to the music station i had on. been happening for about 2 weeks now.

Mine did it last Friday only once thou. Hit the preset and back to normal. Havn't driven the car since to see if its still doing it.

Mine started this yesterday but I only drive it once a week. With so many people experiencing the same thing - I'm thinking it's a glitch on their end?
