I'm going to take mine to a local AAMCO to have it installed.

Had mine installed at my local trans shop for $150.00. What a difference! Much shorter thro obviously and the shifts are smoother. Haven't had a chance to air it out to see the difference under a hard run but so far so good!

Funny, so I called two different Chevrolet Dealerships today and asked them about install and if it would void the warranty. Both dealerships said it would not void the warranty unless they could prove the shifter caused damage. But they said it would be highly unlikely. Then just one of them said they would install it. He quoted me labor rates of $98 an hour, he spoke to his tech and they told him it would take about an hour and a half, so about $150.
I had called a different Chevrolet dealership two days ago and they told me that it would void the warranty on the trans. Man, who do you trust? It's almost like you gotta get it in writing. Then I called a local AAMCO Transmission shop. This guy was totally stoked to get his hands on a "NEW CAMARO"...his enthusiasm was almost scary. But he also quoted around $150, but no more than $200. One one side I want to take it to a dealer because they might have more knowledge of cracking the console open, but on the other hand a transmission specialty shop seems like they'd know more about installing this sort of thing. I think maybe I'm just making too big of a deal over nothing. Anyway. I can't wait to get it installed.

I paid a 100 bucks total, both of those are a little high might just be your area. I do alot of business with place that did mine. $98 an hour is crazy expensive though.

Yeah $98 an hour seems to be the going rate because AAMCO and Gus Paulos Chevrolet both quoted me this. The more I look at this install other than getting my fat a*** under the car I think I could do it.....
