Love the ls9 motor. Love to see it go heads up with a GT500. Maybe even the KR or Supersnake versions.

^^^^^^ Yes please put this up against a 645whp GT500 with both with good drivers and good tires.

I'm seriously on the fence between a Whipple'd 700whp 2011 GT500 (Aluminum block, 3.73's both new for 2011) or a 600whp supercharged camaro or more if it can take it.

I havent seen any HPE camaro's post any good times, definetly not the typical low 11's to high 10's im seeing on the gt500 forums. I think their best was a 12.2 on a 550whp camaro

I'm a GM fan but the 2011 GT500 is looking like the better choice to me.

Our very first HPE550 Camaro has run 12.1 on street tires and 11.6 on drag radials. That was back in May and it has been pretty warm in Texas since that time. It will be cooling off soon and we may run some updated passes in some of our other more powerful cars soon.

A comparo test with the Shelby would be interesting for sure. Shelby has been building the Super Snake for a while now and I am sure it is fast.

Let's see what happens in the future.
