Turtle Wax Ice

I almost ordered Zaino but read some good things on Turtle Wax Ice and decided to give it a shot.............and I like it.

I have a SIM Camaro, and wasnt really looking for a super deep show car gloss, but for something that protects well without streaks and is easy to apply. This stuff is it!

You can basically put it on anything, plastic, rubber, metal, ect. and it seems to shine well. You dont even have to park under shade. Middle of the day heat has no effect.

I also used the wheel and tire product and was equally impressed. I didnt give that greasy look, just brightened the tires and cleaned the wheels. If this stuff even lasts a couple months, I'm sold.

I know a lot of you guys are hardcore into detailing, but I believe this stuff may be a good alternative to high end products.

My Camaro got caught in a downpour, had some dirt marks and water spots. I used the Turtle ice and it got them all out and even left a nice shine. The product works very well.

Yeah I was told by the installer of my 3M Clear Bra that he only uses Turtle Wax Ice products and he was a car detailer for years. So this stuff is supposed to be good.

It worked well for me too. When I get a chance, I'd like to try Maguir's too.

All my years detailing ive never seen a product get soo many mixed reviews. Im trying the ice line this year myself and so far i have nothing bad to say honestly. On autopia guys #1 complaint was its durability and the liquid clay bar while fast to use was no replacement for a real clay bar and turtle wax response was a new 3x formula for durability and a real clay bar that came out this year so keep an eye out for that. I didnt get a chance to use the old liquid clay bar as its being phased out for a real clay bar kit so i cant comment on that product. The biggest mistake people make is they use too much product saying it was a greasy mess and they dont clean the paint first with a good paint cleaner/clay bar so there results are bad then bash the product.

Wish I could say the same I tried it on my 70 Monte Carlo,
and didn't like it at all, reasons as follows
It doesn't remove anything on the paint ie fresh water spots
bird droppings or insects.
Never drys to the film stated on the instructions
needs several clean rags to remove
I wax all the glass and it shows how hard it is to remove
[I don't drive it in the rain] car shows better with shiny glass
try a small spot on any window and see, it is like putting
on oil
I go to a lot of shows and after arriving I go over the whole car
to remove road dirt, spots etc. it doesn't work for me
I use Maguires spray on detailer it does what I need
I completely detail the car after every show to be ready for the next
Just my .02 not downing the product if it works for you great
I have been using TW products for many years and have been
very happy with the results

It's recommended to use the same rag once it is dirty use another one. You apply it with one side to apply and then flip over to polish it, and keep that process going. I believe it even recommends to spray some it on the rag as well.

Did you use it correctly? It gets everything out, water spots, tar, dead bugs, and bird crap as well.

Is the Zaino detailer ok to use often? I know turtle ice is good to use over and over between details.

I got caught in the rain and after my car dried had all those water spots, used the Turtle ice and the car was like brand new again.

I got a little ding from likely pepples in the road kicking up, and also from tree sap little indents in the back of my car, I need to get a full detail done on my car to fix that I doubt any detailing spray will get that out. Thank goodness they are not noticeable, of course I will notice since I am alway looking at every angle of my car, lol.

How often should someone fully detail their car? Twice a year?

Use the turtle wax clay bar kit to get rid of the tree sap. Use the kit 2x a year before using the ice polish and detail after washings. It really is as simple as that.
