that's great info...I hope GM clarifies this cuz they made it sound like both ZL1 wheels were the same weight. Anyway, Black SSX wheels look WAAAAY better anyway

I thought that was 20ish for the wheel & tire combo, not just the wheels themselves. Now, I have no clue how much weight can be saved in tires (or perhaps they're actually a little heavier, since they're wider) and they're the same regardless of what ZL1 wheel is on the car ... so ... umm ... what was my point going to be again?

Oh well ... carry on

Weight of the tires is actually less.

I've always wanted a set of the black 10 spoke ZL1 wheels for my SS. Once they are more available (and hopefully with a decent price), I will buy a set.

To me they've always looked lighter than the 5 spokes and it would make sense that most all of the test cars are wearing the 10 spokes if indeed they are lighter. The 5 spokes are likely more expensive because they cost more to finish. They provide a certain look that people are willing to pay for just like the exposed weave hood and that's why there is an option.

Well, based on looks, the premium wheels are lighter. The stock wheels are black!

Just noticed today that the wheels were different. I thought they were the same wheel in either black or chrome, I guess you do learn something new every day.
