My son and I left the host Holiday Inn hotel Sunday around 10:00am after the awards and went back to SGMP to watch the SCCA Autocross action Sunday. Seeing hard core Autocrossers and their cars in action was an educational experience. We left SGMP at 1:07pm and arrived in my garage safe and sound in Knoxville TN at 7:13pm which included a 24 minute stop for gas and food somewhere in Ga. north of Atlanta, well Hardees if that qualifies for food. 417 miles ( SGMP to my home ) in 6 hours 6 minutes INCLUDING the 24 minute gas and food stop, you do the math. 22.7 mpg for the entire 928 mile round trip including 5 passes on the Autocross track. I know there was an ABM and a RJT SS that couldn't hang with us on north bound I75 and I475. I wasn't setting a great example for my 15 year old son as he saw triple digits several times on the speedo but he'll get over it . Ok MTI, I'm ready for 10/10/10 at Talladega Grand Prix !!!!

Home safe - ticket in Florida

129 in a 70. Trooper wrote it up for 79 in 70. Thank you Sheriff Buford T. Justice. A stupid mustang gt found someone to play. I smoked him and have the ticket to prove it. Sorry guys, I couldn't let him do that. Cop put my foot on a diet.

Made it home safe !! Car not so safe .. lol ... Rock chip in window (getting replaced tonight), and a good bit of rock chips on the front of the car (and a nice big one on top of the passenger side front fender) ..

Oh well .. the car was meant to be driven!
