What pushed me to the gen5 was the price per performance. the gen5 1LE had the same performance numbers as a gen6 2SS. but i could get 20% on the gen5, so it was a no brainer for me. gen6 would have cost me $10k more for what i found in a gen5. I also preferred the LS3 for mods over the LT1.

I ordered my car for my DD and the car is frikin awesome. No way, am I getting rid of this car!!!!! You already have a proven aftermarket for the Gen 5. Gen 6 is an experiment at this point, but things will get sorted out. Take for instance a CAI intake. The Gen 6 is having a strange whistle sound for some people.
Another thing is that, I'm not a fan of a DI motor. I know that is the direction, but a DI engine needs the extra port injection as well. This will help with the buildup on the valves. The LS3 is a great proven engine with no AFM. If your into modding, it will cost less than the LT1, due to DI and variable valve timing, etc. It is a little more tricky to tune. You can have fun now or wait till later. Good luck with your decision.

I found mine after Christmas, car was on the lot for 451 days so there were huge discounts on it. $42195 marked down to $33195 after all rebates. Then I found a private offer for another $1000 off. I couldn't pass it up. Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk

Not far away, the options you want, 1LE badging, and the miles don't get much lower than this......for 1000 less asking. I'd buy it if I wanted a white car minus Recaros......

Go with the new 15. The 16's pricing is ridiculous. Most well-equipped 2SS are 50k, so expect 45k for a 1LE. As mentioned, with 15% off you can score one for at least 10k less.

No purchase yet. I had some issues come up this past weekend that I need to iron out. Maybe this cooler wet weather up here in the northeast will prevent anyone from Camaro shopping.
