positive battery terminal

I am doing work under the hood and disconnected the positive terminal at the drivers side front fender and lifted the 2 cables to the engine/alternator and left the red cable on the post. is that ok? am pulling the coils, fuel line flip, remote gto master, long tubes etc. is that enough or should I disconnect at the trunk. please advise. thanks the oldman...........

Anytime your dealing with electronics, you should disconnect the negative at the battery.
