So I tell him "Well actually they are all pretty bad ass, but the Camaro SS beat the GT and SRT" and I was trying to add that it wasn't by a whole lot and figuring he probably drove a Chally I was gonna play diplomat and compliment it but I didn't get that far. Dude says, "Challenger got that Hemi that has been tested against the Camaro, Mustang AND CORVETTE and kicked all their asses, you can't even play with it".

Ok, so obviously I reallise this cat is one of 'Those Guys'. Can't talk to them, and I didn't even want to, I just paid for my drink and walked out where the guy who originally asked about it was waiting (he exited while dude was ranting) to talk to me about the car. So he's very complimentary and asked to sit in it and check it out. Weeeeeeell of course, loud mouth comes out and here we go again. He says (again, shouting) how much faster the Chally is and I'm at this point just acting like I'm learning something from him. So here I am AGREEing with this tool, just to get him to shut up, and he's STILL arguing as if I just told him his mother is a whore and he's just gotta let me know I'm wrong. Me and the other guy give each other that look. Like holy crap this dude is out there.

So now for the best part. This guy (shirt and tie by the way) wlks over, gets in his....................NISSAN ULTIMA.................Attachment 77930.

All that loud mouth act, and you get into an Ultima?

Any guesses what car the cool guy was driving?

For future reference everyone, if anyone starts trying to smack-talk to you about your car, just ask them what they drive that makes them such know-it-all's.

9 times out of 10, they will be like this moron and drive something completely inferior to the Camaro/Mustang/Challenger as far as performance goes.

Just be prepared for that 1 time when the guy gets into a Maseratti, Ferrari, or Bugatti.

But even then, you can say, "At least I didn't have to spend a fortune to look remotely cool."

He is screaming and pointing at me and says he should call the police for child abuse and no wonder she is misbehaving because I am a sorry dad. He is in my face wanting me to swing I guess. At that moment I said "I understand your concern sir and escorted my family to the car." If this guy had not been old and maybe a sick veteran or something else wrong with him I don't think I could have been so nice. I just can't see myself screaming at someone while their child is standing by in public. In summary, the world is full of smarter people than us but where in the hell are they these days?

btw, as a hard working father and husband I was kind of sick to my stomach at the thought of making a bad decision for my daughter - I sure am glad I know otherwise

I give credit to both of you. I am "old enough to know better" but can only take so much before I "blow a gasket" and it really sounds like this idiot was pushing your buttons. You did the right thing though because who knows what this idiot may have done. I can't say what I would have done, some people just need a "smack-down" every now and then.

It doesn't matter what they're driving, A-holes come in all shapes and sizes (YUCK!...boy did that come out wrong!) You have to choose your battles and it sounds to me like you chose wisely. Although a time slip wouldn't have hurt either!
