That sounds like the green wire came loose from the chip inside. A new LED should fix that.

I was thinking the same thing. Especially if he is running white normally.
Losing green briefly would be light purple while completely losing the green LED would be a darker purple.

so my NightOwl system has worked flawlessly for 3 years.. now the LEDs are starting to flicker on certain colors... Do I need new LEDs? Or a new controller?

Yes.

There are three "chips" inside the LED element: red, green, and blue. You can see them in this pic...



It's possible that one of the tiny wires inside that connect to the chip has come loose.

It's a bit complicated as I believe there has been one change that NightOwl made along the way. I would need a photo of the connector that would plug into the LED harness. You can email the pic to tony @ sjmap.us.

I would be willing to sell the module, I got a different controller, the rings are going in as soon as I feel brave enough to start cutting in to light.

does anyone have the NightOwl App .api file for the iOS?


I bought myself a new Iphone 8, somehow the app didnt transfer (or not correctly) and i cant download it again cause it is gone from the store.




Means right now my halos are dead.




The NightOwl kit was one of the 2 best addons i did to my car. I hate the thought of it being gone, and that just because i cant get the app.
