BESIDES that, from OP comments it sounds like a closed course street racing story to me. Just saying....
Ahhh maybe your right, I thought "on a closed course" would be a drag strip???? maybe 9c1ny will provide more info.. I would like to know the condition of the track and it's prep (dust??) your not gonna hook up with dust...

What do they consider a closed course. I'd like to know the location etc etc
I want to move it to trash.

I also would like to know what this "closed course" is.

Im not really too sure about that story cuz I "raped" a GT500 on the way back from Dallas with 200 miles on my ZL1... And even if he did pull ahead by 200 car lengths... Im still in a ZL1 and he's in a Mustang...

Drake. Sorry man but if you keep thinking that, you will be disappointed with your ZL1 when vids start popping up with gt500's beating the ZL1 is drag and street races. The 2013 GT500 will make the ZL1 its boitch. Did you ever wonder why GM didn't allow the media to test it vs the current GT500?

while i could care less about track times and whatnot, thats a ton of miles on this car. Not even Drake has that many, and he's probably in it 22 hours a day!!

Last week I priced a 2013 GT500 at MSRP at 64K without the track pack, without tax & registration.

My ZL1 is UNDER $61K out the door with tax, registration, delivery, AND GG tax.

Most 2013 GT500 are selling over sticker, as brokers in my area have offered every dealer $5000 over for them. So add another 5 to 10 K.

This is a rivalry, but still two very different cars. Both are clearly better at what they were designed for while no slouch by any token at all other performance aspects. Both awesome cars.

But FOR ME, The ZL1 is more what I want, costs much less, and looks much better. That's just me. You should do just you.

Now for the editorialism. The Camaro is Chevy's #2 performance car. The Mustang is Ford's #1. Fair? We will ignore this if we are Ford fans because we accept Chevy just plain kicks our ass. In fact, we have trouble keeping up with Chevy's #2 car, even if it is limited in performance to not outshine its #1 big brother.

Enjoy your cars. You guys paper racing, keep it to yourself. I know I will win and lose races to all kinds of cars, for many reasons. I am happy knowing I have a real car in the race.

So bring your Shelby, Challenger, SS, Vette, Prius, Yugo, whatever and we can have some real fun. But bet your ass, the outcome of our race will not be the outcome of all such races.

Why someone posts a totally heresay account of amatuer drivers planned in advance but totally undocumented is not so hard to figure.

The only place I have heard the word bro used more often than this guy is the Jersey Shore.

FYI test mules were running 7:30 around the ring.

Yeah but most of em lie about mods they don't really have which only makes this case that much worse.

You're going to make yourself look like a fool if you tell people "I would have beat you if you was stock". You can brag about what a car did stock on a track halfway around the world at the local cruise-in but the people who like to take it to the track or beat on the car will mod it. Both cars are great platform to mod but you don't bring skittles to a gun fight.
