Is this a good price for a 2011 vert?

First post!!!

Tomorrow, I'm planning on buying a Victory Red 2011 LT convertible with black leather; V6 automatic that has 16,000 miles and is in great shape. The top has been already been fixed, as I understand there were issues with it. The car is in great shape.

My price is $24,000 out the door.

I'm brand new to Camaros, but would appreciate everyone's thoughts on the price I'm getting.

Thanks

Mike

Do your research on the 2011 verts.

I did.... I think. Lol. I looked around on this site and read as much as I could find.

I know the convertible tops that year had issues and there was a recall. This one has been corrected.

2011 with one top enhancement (GM 's words) with 24,000 miles of enjoyment. One tip put a blanket between top and cover ,, to keep cover tight and to prevent rub marks. Check it out before you buy. Raise and lower top a few times. Make sure part of the deal you have the tonneau cover. There is also tool for the vert ,, just in case you have problems. Drive it and enjoy.

Thank you. I am requesting that a cover come with it. Kbb suggested retail with all the options is $27k.

Just because it was fixed once does not mean it was fixed right. Make sure it comes with some kind of extended warranty that includes the top.

Find out if you can the exact repairs done to the top and when. There have been several different fixes and not all of them worked.
We love our 2012 convertible....

Thanks for all the advice. I've learned a lot on on this site already. The deal I had been working on fell through, because the dealer jerked me around on my trade and the purchase price. I walked out.

I'm talking to Becky now and will see if she can find me something nice in my budget.

Mine had 11k miles on it and I paid 25k out the door. It's a Ralley yellow 2LT RS and I think I got a great deal.. Good deals are to be had, just be patient.

Sounds like a nice deal! I had a deal on one, but i took the evening to think about it. When I came back to buy it the next morning, they change the price. So I walked out of the dealership. I'm working with Becky now and am waiting for the right deal to come along...

Edit: And thanks for the encouraging words!

I keep looking around on line. Today, I saw a 45th anniversary manual vert for $30k with 25,000 miles. It's out of my budget, but seemed like a good deal (assuming its in good shape). The mileage is more than I'd hoped for, too.
