Stainless brake lines question
I just recieved my set of Goodridge stainless lines for my V6 camaro. Does it matter which brake lines go on each specific wheel?

Possibly if they are different lenghts. And if their all the same then i dont think it matters. Just match them up. Do one at at time and compare them

I think two are longer than the other two...if I remember correctly. But, match them up as you take them off. It'll be fine.

I assume the same for 6 and the SS.....rears are longer than fronts. Different length obvious, so you will not have any problems.

Yes, different lengths and the bends in the caliper connection point face certain ways. I learned this from trial and error
As TAG said, layout the job BEFORE you take to old ones off. I should have done this! |

So i just got done installing the brake lines. It was a pretty easy but time consuming job. You shouldn't have a problem cyber gray, the only part that took a long time was me and my friend trying to find where i placed the brake fluid bottles. But once we had the tools and the car situated, it took about 4 1/2 hours. Just be sure you have enough brake fluid and then some. I used three bottles of motul 600.
So far i can't tell a big difference in brake feel, maybe a little stiffer. My car only has 28,000 miles, so i am sure that my lines are still were still pretty tight. I did this more as a preventative measure and for future autocrossing. |
