I love Top Gear, yes they can be very biased at times but it makes for a great show. If it wasnt the LS3 M6 then we need to protest and have them run it again......127.9.......really? They looked to be neck and neck the whole way. SS vs. AMG seriously, AMG is a high performance division for Mercedes. They should of reviewed it against the mustang or challenger instead. If they didnt want to do that then they should of used a high performance outside source for the camaro like Hennessey. Well at least they gave it some credit and i am so glad Hammond was the one reviewing it, at least he appreciates it.
Either way im glad the camaro finally made the show and despite what they said....i absolutely adore this car, thank you so much GM for bringing it back P.S. Excellent color combination: IOM with black stripes

Ive seen 2010 wrx sti's bone stock hit high 12s, 2011 Mustang GT'S ,2010 GT'S with a set of slicks with stock 3.73 gears, maybe your right not a whole lot. But just being honest. Theres a host of cars that can be had cheaper and modded cheaper and put up the same figures. Just being realistic. Not that i'd trade my Camaro for any of them.

been watching top gear for a while but that comparison sucked, it was all about the Mercedes more than anything . You figured they would spend some more time on the car they haven't seen. Anyhow maybe thats why they compared it to a 90 thousand dollar car because they had nothing in the same price range that could put up the numbers. Anyhow when they put the numbers on the board they put it right next to a 911 gt porche.

the car was an L99... with Less TRQ because of TRQ mgmt system, and less HP put to the wheels than an LS3 M6. I'd say and Ls3 would be on his ass, if not in front. Still neat to watch.

i got to call bullshit on that one its like them comparing a prius to a a zr1, you compare the camaro to a car not in its class, why not compare it to something more equal oh wait cause there isnt anything 38k that can compare to what they are testing how about this to the editor of topgear when the z28 is produced why dont you have it back and compare that to the amg or better yet why not take a slp or lingenflter or henessey that would be fair since they are all tuner cars

Audio doesn't match up with video.
Well, you have to think that the "muscle car" class is a bit....well...slim with choices. The 5.0 GT probably wasn't released yet when this was filmed, and they already did an episode with a challenger(that also had the ZR1 and the CTS-V which they also called muscle cars), plus i'm almost certain the challenger isn't sold in the UK. What else to compare it against? Something else with a 6.2L V8 that is brand new to them. |
