Did you reinforce the hood area next to the long side cuts?
Looks like the hood is pulling up in the middle.

Don't forget about that weird fastener in the back. I pulled mine out and it sits flush. Or "hella flush" as the kids say.

There are small support/pieces of plastic, I call them "tits" that you have to snip off. Pull it off and look to make sure you got them all. I've had mine for a year.

Yes I reinforced the sides with the aluminum plates.

Has anyone actually used the ACS template? I'm thinking of ordering everything thru there and would like to verify if it's the same measurement or not.

Is the ACS Kit any different from ordering the two parts separately? For the Deflector and Water tray from Maureen it's $172 vs. $204 from ACS w/ their template. The template is simple to make yourself.

+1 the template is simple to make. I would be scared to cut a hole in my hood if I really wasn't sure on how to make the template. But a pre formed template would make some feel better about it.

Hell I have sent out a couple to other members, does that mean I should had charged them $32 dollars... Thats the difference from Maureen vs ACS. Cause I am pretty sure I paid shipping myself and didn't charge the members anything. It only cost 4 or 5 bucks. Help out a fellow Camaro owner

Here are the pics from my install. I tried using a cutting wheel but my air compressor didn't have enough juice, so I ended up using my jigsaw with a new metal blade. Cut right thru with no problems. Install came out great. I didn't use any of the aluminum strips and don't have any problems with the way it's sitting in the hole.

I used the ACS template. Its very nice and easy to use. Also includes the template for the inside to trim the hood liner.

The ACS rain tray is a nice piece as well. The have an option to order the rain tray and add the templates. I did it that way and saved money. The extractor only cost me $80 or so through a local dealer.

QUICK UPDATE

for those installing the radiator shroud on their V6s I had to remove this price from the bottom in order for it to snap in without issues.

Mine snapped in no problem, it helps hold the shield down from air lifting it up. It was a nice fit on my 2013.
