K&N intake with Corsa performance exhaust

I just installed a Corsa Cat Back 149532 and a K&N Air intake 63-3075 on my 2010 Camaro V6 automatic RS. I am totally thrilled with the sound. I know everyone’s taste in sound preference is different but this was the exact tone I was looking for. I would describe it as a deep, muscular, refined tone. Not raspy, no snap-crackle pops, no cabin drone. For me Corsa nailed the sound I wanted perfectly. I think it looks great as well. I’ve attached my sound clips… the live sound is far better than these sound clips I recorded today.

Hard Acceleration Drive By - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a

Easy Drive by then Hard Acceleration - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a

Hard Acceleration from in the vehicle - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a

45-50 MPH Drive By - Corsa Exhaust 14953 on a

I am also including the before after Dyno. Not a huge performance increase but I was going for sound and looks and at least no performance loss.

Dyno Legend
Red Line = Before everything stock (Run conditions - 90.67 degrees, humidity 42% - average run of 5 pulls)
Green and Blue Lines = After installing K&N 63-3075 air intake and Corsa 14953 Exhaust. stock (Run conditions - 92.38 degrees, humidity 42% - worst and best pull out of 5 pulls)

This was a tough decision for me, as I am sure it is for you, but I could not be happier. I hope this info helps you with your decision.

I think Corsa's sound is way too aggressive for my taste.

But It doesn't sound too bad w/ the K&N aircharger.

I was thinking about going with the JBA axle-back exhaust, but then my Bro started talking me into a Cat-back.

Hey thanks for the post of the Dyno

The K&N gave nice gains not as advertised but as good as any.
Mine arrived today, can't wait to install

Thanks again

Sounds nice, But I'm looking for CAI that'll give me the most HP gain, and shorty headers/cat back exhaust that will give the most hp gains as well. But your exhaust sounds nice.....

Awesome sound! Mine is on order from GMpartsdirect (over 1 month). Did the K&N CAI make a difference in the sound?

Question...why are people wanting to go with a cat back exhaust? I was under my car today in the muffler shop and it is all mandrel bent right from the factory. There is an H-pipe instead of an X-pipe, but I just don't see the advantage of replacing a mandrel bent system with a mandrel bent system? Maybe I'm missing something?

Looking at it, I think the biggest gains would be to get rid of the suitcases in the rear and put some overnight bags on.

Or...maybe I'm missing something....

I'm going in for a custom exhaust today, and my Guy actually talked me out of a cat back. He said the difference in pipe size is negligible so there wasn't a point in spending the extra money. Just my .02¢ though

Nope, you nailed it. Save for losing the h-pipe and resonators, no real gain for a catback over axleback. Well, there is one, ease of installation, but you are paying double for that in most cases.

Losing resonators I think would have huge effect on sound. Which in most cases people are trying to improve or lack thereof.

Can't say for sure since the intake and exhaust were put on at the same time. All i can say is the i love the sound ... completely satisfied.
