I already took off the rear ones, I'm thinking about moving the rears to the front since they seem less restrictive than the front ones

I wanna say the rears have less cells in them thus would flow more than the uppers but u might throw a cel since the a/f ratio would b different but I think it would just b too much work to do all that in my opinion

I don't mind about throwing a cel since I can get that tuned out or live with it until I get a tune. Only reason I ask is because I wanted to see if I could make "poor mans high flow cats". I have to buy a set of high flow cats for some headers I have but don't want to spend a bunch either. So the other day while detailing the car, I saw my rear cats. I basically have the rears sitting here in the garage and have a buddy that would weld em for me for free so I thought why not do that? But I wanted to know if it'd even be a small gain or if I should just go ahead and scrap the cats.

If u got someone to weld them for free I would say go for it I think the small cat shouldn't rob u of n e horsepower and might take the rasp out of the headers worst comes to worst just straight pipe ur headers into an x pipe with mufflers

I'm just gonna weld them into a pipe and clamp it onto the headers. If I like the sound and feel, I'll get the pipe put in permanently, if not ill either go straight pipe or suck it up and buy the high flow cats

2 things-
1) The rear cats convert carbon monoxide to CO2, while the front cat's job is to convert the nitrogen oxides that create smog. 2) Just a heads up but no cats equals a much louder and raspier sound. |

Yea, I've heard a no cats setup and it needs an x pipe in my opinion because it rasps so much |
