Xpel and tint...check!
Improvements made today...windows tinted (all sides and rear window). Also Xpel on all front facing surfaces. Nose, top of fenders at front, rockers/gils, mirrors, A-pillars and front 5 inches of roof. Really happy with it! I have officially completed my exterior mods and upgrades. Gotta save up and this winter while stored in shop will do performance mod list.

It is 35%...I guess that means it lets in 35% of the light. So 65% blacked out. Not so dark that I should get in trouble for it, you can see through it, but nicely blacks out with the black interior. Rear window tint will help keep it cooler too.

What is the xpel? And where do you get it? Is it similar to clear decal material.

I am so glad I have it! I was driving the other day and heard a loud bang! I honestly thought something broke on the car. The next day I went to the shop to drive it and noticed on the Right side gil area there was a dust smear that looked like a comet with a tail. I looked closer and a stone had apparently come off the front tire and hit there. It hit hard enough it broke the stone apart. The dust wiped off, but where the stone hit there was a small imperfection in the Xpel. It is supposed to be self healing, hoping with a little heat from the sun and time that tiny spot heals. But either way...very glad it is in the film and not a chip in the paint! |

What was the damage for the Expel install if you don't mind my asking?

Installer did a great job and I now don't worry so much about stone chips! He also did my window tinting. |
