Rear axle knuckle

I only had my car less than a week and after 68 miles (48 were on it when I purchased it) I would hear what sounded like a shock loose.
The dealer looks at it and came back with a bad knuckle and I proceeded to tell him how I haven’t really romped on it yet and I asked why did my car have so many miles on it when I got it? And he did not know, so after much back and forth they agreed to give me an extended warranty.
Anyone else have this problem?

Yes someone did and there was a thread and some pics about it here. He was the only one I think that had the same problem as you. Might do a search and see what you can find on it. Lots of good info about it.

First, welcome to the ZL1 club. Do you mean the control arm? Front or rear? It would be listed on your warranty invoice/receipt. Was your car a demo? Mine had 14 miles after I test drove it which is typical for a new car. In truth 48 miles isn't that much. Enjoy the car!

It sounds like it could have been a dealer trade. They had something that another dealer wanted and they traded the ZL1 for it. It would have been driven to the dealer and swapped. I have a friend that does these all the time. He can do a trade as far as 2-300 miles away.

Interesting. I found the lower bolt for the passenger side trailing arm loose on mine. Tightened it up and it was good to go.

I asked that if it was a dealer trade and the sales manager said no.
