Is that black ball/teardrop shifter metal or plastic?

The black ball, along with all of our shift knobs are 6061 T6 billet Aluminum.

They look great!, whats the difference in height, compared to factory?

some are a little shorter some are a little taller. But it's not enough to notice. maybe an 1/8" either direction.
