Cutting engine cover for Supercharger?

Has anyone cut their engine cover after installing a Maggy Supercharger, to cover up the coils etc? Any help will be appreciated. Got a used one on Ebay coming so I dont touch my original cover.

I have done it. The hard part is not cutting the covers its finding brackets that work and that someone actually sells. I bought some cheap ones on here and thats exactly what they were I used them but in a completly different spot and way!

Do a search on the engine covers. This has been talked about and done many times already. I did mine and it turned out great. You should find a video or two on the subject.

Yea i been trying this for months and gave up. cutting them is easy but finding the right mounts are hard. You will have to make them yourself.

These are what I used and they are OK. I'll attach a couple of pictures of the covers. Sorry, I didn't do any in progress pictures or video but you can still see where you need to cut. I used a small die grinder with a thin cut off wheel. It cuts very smooth and like going through butter.

Yes, I'm satisfied with them and think they are sturdy enough. The passnger side is supported a lot by the oil fill tube and the drivers side retains the rubber cup support that grasps the ball stud mounted to the engine. I don't even remove them when I drag race and they've ridden along on over fifty 120+ MPH passes without any problems.

The center section just gets cut along where the black center section meets the silver painted section.

For the remaining cuts, I laid out my cut lines with painters tape first and then just followed the tape edge with the cut off wheel.
