I can say the exact same thing about all the special models and variants of the Camaro offered at Chevy dealerships. Even all the old fav's back like Nickey, Baldwin Motion, ect...
American cars have and always will offer a shit ton of packages for vehicles for sale at the dealerships. Don't you remember the floral print vinyl top packages offered back in the 60's, and drag pack's that they snuck out the back door. This is ALL GOOD in my book, in fact the more options the better. I wish I could order domestic car's like you can order up and customize a new Lambo or Bentley. But there would still be haters. Why are you throwing race only type vehicles like the 8 second Cobra Jet in the mix? If that's the case then dont forget about the Boss 302S |

i respectfully disagree. the S197 chassis is loosely based on the DEW chassis. very little is used from that platform, but the history of IRS is there. the current jag XF uses that platform. IRS is unnecessary for a pony car. wins at the track continue for the solid axle BOSS302R. it pulled away from the (IRS)GS-r camaro easily sunday.

The Mustang GT and the Mustang GT 500 are very impressive cars....but then again, they've also had almost no competition for the last 8 years. The Challenger is in too few of a production numbers to ever challenge it, and the cost renders it a moot argument. The Camaro SS came out in 2010 and obliterated the GT and performed on par with the GT500. Not quite as fast, but good enough given the cost. You then have Ford retaliate with a new 5.0 (been talking about for a few years) and they leap frog back in front. It's no wonder the Camaro is losing, but I don't expect a new car to come out and dominate when other models are in mid life refreshes.....

2014 Mustang
I think Ford is stealing from the Camaro on this one.

There are elements which are similar to the Camaro: fogs, rear quarter panel, hip, rear diffuser...I wish Ford would bring back the '69 and '70 fastbacks lines....to me, these 2 years were the best looking Mustangs...
