Ugh... after three years I finally did it.

Yesterday, heading out to the Ballpark in Arlington for Opening Day for the Rangers, I stopped at Chase bank for some cash.

As I was leaving, I clipped the front drivers wheel on the low metal curb they have there and scraped it almost halfway round. I've not curbed a wheel in about 6 years now, and of course it had to happen on my Camaro.

That did not put me in a good mood for the Rangers game, especially as I had spent the morning detailing the Camaro and cleaning my K&N air filter and was proud to be driving around in my nice clean Camaro.

Thankfully the Rangers beat the Angels 3-2 and showed Hamilton the door!

***EDIT*** Now with picture...

Look at this as a golden opportunity to find yourself some new wheels.

I also scuffed my 21" at a Chase.. fortunately it wasn't as bad as yours sounds.

Wider drive-thru lanes please!

My wife curb surfed one on my wheels as well. Luckily it's not horrible. I'm also lucky it's on the passenger side so I don't see it as often. Still I need to get it fixed one of these days.

BTW: Last I checked with ADM, he has a guy that will come by and fix it for around $100. You drop off the wheel with him an it's supposed to be a 1 day turn around. You might give Andy a call and see if that's still the case.

I rashed one of my wheels not too bad but if the drive thru or any other place like that has a narrow or curved drive thru i just park and walk in. Not gonna take any more chances.

Sorry for your mishap , it always hurts the most when we do it ourselves, LOL, yeah some of those bank drive thru and parking lots are real tight. I just get out of the car so I don't have to hear myself arguing with myself. LOL Been there, done that with my kid who was in the car and still won't let me live it down.
Don't worry the season is early you got plenty of time to fix that up.

Sorry to hear this CUPRA :(

Would you be able to post a pic to show what the damage is like?

I remember seeing a video on youtube where they were able to repair damage like this:

I try to be so careful around curbs especially at banks, but I've rashed my camaro rim when I had the car and my current ride Lexus RX's chrome rim and it sucks.

I've done it once and it was heartbreaking :( maybe new rims also the k&n is worthless in my experience and ruined a MAF of mine, plus it made no difference at the track compared to a fram paper filter
