The Camaros are all gone from Avis....

Like something out of a bad horror movie camaros have disapeered from Avis. They must have all exceeded there milage & are being sold off used. I fly every week to either Texas or Oklahoma & none of the airport rental car places have them anymore. I wont be able to afford the Camaro I want till next year, and now I cant even rent one. Oh well, maybe when the 2011's come out Chevy will allocate more to Avis...

Alamo/National here in Pittsburgh is starting to get some Camaros in their fleet...at least at the airport location.

Nice, I'll have to switch, the only thing I got from renting Avis was a coupon for a free weekend rental....

I rented a CGM 2SS 6A @ TPA last month for a day. I'm so glad I did it now after hearing this. I thought something might have been up since I couldn't find one in May on a return trip.

I'm definitely hooked after having it for 24 hours and nearly 300 miles.

Due to mileage huh? I will admit, when we rented one last month we put 500+ miles on that beast in one day...

There were 4 in PHX 2 weeks ago. Too bad I got the Mustang GT vert.
I pity the next person to drive that bucket of bolts.

I bet Avis saw the high resale value and decided to get their money back while they could.

I've tried to rent them a couple of times in the past few months - but the Avis locations I went too stopped carrying them because they were not renting. Now... they were getting $150+ a day, so I can see why.

I wanted to rent before buying.. now we'll see who rents them next..

There are still quite a few at Tulsa International Airport. Not nearly as many as there were a couple months ago though.
