More Power - L99

I am looking to get some more power out of Starky, V8 L99. Currently she has a Volant CAI, resonator delete, Flowmaster 40's and a heavy right foot. I am waiting to receive my CNC Ported throttle body. What else can I get to increase HP without getting any type of "charge"/forced induction? Also keep in mind I live in CA and need to be able to pass smog testing! Thanks in advance guys!

Increasing HP is all related to getting air in and out without restriction or by induction. Depending on how much HP, supporting mods are required such a fueling upgrades and/or forged parts.

However, you can install higher gear ratio 3.9 or 4.1 along with a torque converter to enhance acceleration. Rare axle pushes, trailing arms and sway bars to eliminate wheel hop and to provide better hooking to the ground too.

At the end don't aim for cheap parts to save some money. always aim for quality

1) You live in the "people's republic of California"
2) your a college student and you NEED to worry about a warranty and your education!
3) sell the Volant and get a rotofab or Haltech with the plastic tubing.
4) you can't cam or do Ls3 conversions unless you "know" somebody correct?

I'd leave it stock, but if you want more hp see #3 and some long tubes with a tune.
Just my .2

Shorty headers and hi flow cats. Those 2 will give you a nice bump. You will be looking to spend about $900 but you won't need to tune.
