LongTube Headers sound

Ok so anyone else with LT's and no cats hate the way they exhaust sounds?
dont get me wrong when I rev it sounds amazing but while normal driving, and especially while passing parked cars and next to curbs its sounds awful.
just sounds like a huge leak but its not since I have taken it to 3 shops and Kevin from Hadads looked at it as well. said it sounds normal and when we went for a drive even he said it sounds bad but thats just the sound the Camaros make.
How are your guys cars sounding? and noise coming from underneath you while driving normally next to curbs and cars with windows down?
and let me know your setups!
Thx. I just love to drive with a good sound but the way it is now is very annoying and not a pleasure to drive at all

Just that hollow sound you get with no cats. I know what you're saying. Npp comes in handy for that.

I've noticed it since I put mine on with no cats. Seems like there is a little extra noise...kinda hard to explain. Airy and leaky as OP describes but I've gotten used to it. I hear it at idle quite a bit and when accelerating and the engine is under load below 2500-3000. Most people compliment the car and ask what has been done rather than ask me whats wrong with my exhaust so I assume to the average person its nothing. Just one of those things only YOU will notice.

It's a nomal sound. The LT's are much thinner (also SS vs iron) then the stock manifolds, therefore emit more sounds (Like an air leak).

To the OP, remember that your exhaust sound will sound different from the outside than you on the inside, even with windows down.

I suggest you allow someone else drive it, and perform a drive-by. Make your final assessment at that point.

Mine setup sounds great to me. TSP LT no cats no mufflers. I love it when I pass cars or anything that will bounce the sound off
