I keep forgetting you're switching from a 3 to 4 series. If you could find a ring from any 6 speed car, then you should be good.

Three series carrier versus four series carrier -- not three channel ABS versus four channel ABS. This is why it matters that you didn't have Y87, but the airplane gears instead.

I'm confusing you because I'm using the wrong numbers!

3 series is 3.23 and higher (numerically); 2 series is 3.08 and lower (numerically). 4 channel ABS are ASR; 3 channel without ASR.

Sorry about that.

I was also under the impression you were going from an open diff 3.08 to the Eaton with 3.42. This may simply be my forgetfulness of the evening - and I may have even acknowledged your factory 3.42's previously! However, I thought only Y87 cars had the better gearing.

Maybe I need to put the crack pipe down and you should just ignore me.

Lol I was like wtf are you talking about lol. Its all good. I think my car is kinda a mutt car with the 3.42s and the open, when the Y87 came with 3.42s and LSD lol. I have the 3.42 RPO but not the Y87 WTF? lol

On a side note just bought 2 reluctor rings from the guy I bought my Eaton off of
