Tune and warranty
I'm about to pull the trigger and get my SS tuned. Does a tune automatically void your warranty?

Yup on the motor and possibly the rest of the drive train. But lets say the a/c goes out they should still cover stuff like that.

Engine warranty is toast but other stuff it doesn't affect is still in tact.

It pretty much will if something breaks, and GM request your ECM log and sees the tune.
Your warranty states ANY changes to the ECM software can/will void your warranty.

Technically Yes, but in over 1300 Gen5 Cars tuned by JRE No one has had a warranty voided.

Everybody will say yes. Don't know anybody that actually lost warrenty. My engine had warrenty work when it was fairly stock. Had headers, intake and tune. They warrentied lifters.

When you need warranty work, find a dealer that also does performance mods. In my experience, they seem to be more understanding. My supercharger was installed at a dealer and the service manager said they were fairly performance friendly and he would take care of me. However, I am certain that I will be on my own for a catastrophe.

The V8 ECM has a flash counter - they will be able to tell.
