Since I have been showing in the ISCA (International Show Car Association) this year, its made me want to step up my game even more. Before the end of this year....I want to ceramic coat my entire exhaust, get one of those front sub frames like you have Nathan, and paint my rear suspension cradle. I need a suspension sponsorship to complete my car underneath..LOL Pfadt stuff would look really good under my car during my car shows (I already use lights and mirrors underneath at shows) hint hint ...PfadtRacing...LOL

Well.......... you guys guessed it and LC nailed it! I did a lot of reading and research on other forums and reviews and before deciding to go with a Max Jax. It was scheduled to deliver today but was informed by the carrier it won't be here till Friday.... DANG IT! Something about not having a truck with a lift gate till then... On a different note, I am more excited about this acquisition than most anything else on this project. Having to jack the car up and down and lying on the floor with crap falling all over you has been a pain! This will make completing and maintenance of G5R a lot more convenient. Even detailing and washing the car will be more convenient as I won't have to be on the floor to detail the rockers, I can lift the car! I was planning on posting pictures today but I guess I'd do the next best thing and post a mini video. Last edited by Moreno1; 01-30-2013 at 08:22 PM. |

That is sweet. I so want a lift but cant accommodate one in my current garage. Do you know if a lowered car will fit on there easily? Also what about one with GFX? Just curious. I think I will be making a phone call tomorrow. Love this thread keep up the excellent work.

Nathan, I haven't seen anything on the MaxJax website about the required thickness of concrete to mount these to. Sometimes the thickness isn't uniform on residential floors. I'd like to know what is required, as this is a lot of weight in a small number of square inches. Maybe it isn't an issue.
I could see one of these in my future. My 4-post is really nice, and like I said before, I got it mostly for storage. It does come in handy for working on the cars, and I have two sliding jacks that go between the two tracks so that I can lift the car off all 4 wheels. But you can't drop the engine, nor the rear cradle very far. 2-post is the way to go for working on cars. Just be safe. I'll be in your neck of the woods in April again this year, and would love to come see it in person.

Most "residential" 2 post lifts including the max jax require a minimum of 4" thick 3000psi concrete...
I have been debating myself over that one.. Max Jax vs XPR9 from bendpak.. The good stuff about the Max Jax is that you can remove it when you dont need it, which is the bad part about it since you have bare hydraulic lines.. I will wait for the Nathan review hahaha..

Nathan,
I have the MaxJax and love it. I currently have the 69 Camaro project on it. Definitely check your floor thickness. When I dropped my first hole I was at almost 4". After two others it dropped to 3". I ended up cutting out a 4'*4'*12" footings. Then poured fresh mud. I will post up some photos and comments/suggestions if you want them. ZooDad Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2

Nathan,
I forgot since webshots went down, I need to re-upload my photos. I will do that this evening, then post info. I have had this installed since May 2012. I could not imagine doing work without this again. It definitely spoils you. ZooDad Sent from my HTC6435LVW using Tapatalk 2
