LOL.. You’re kidding right... The online modeler is no were close on any of the true colors it's is just a general reference to view the car in available paint. What you’re looking at now was the same color labels and schemes that was on the site in 2010 and when I ordered my 2011 which by the way has the IOM strips factory installed and my window sticker shows the strips as Orange..

Your not correct there at all.. I was at a cruise-in about 3 weeks ago and parked next to a 2010 like mine with the Orange strips and parked at my back bumper was a 2010 IOM Camaro.. all compared to the same..I think your getting website colors confused with the true colors of the car.

The stripes were never called IOM.

2010 and 2011, the RPO code is C2T, and has the exact same description - Orange Stripe Package.

The service parts for both years is the same part number - and called "Orange"


For '11 HUD is new, the V6 got a new hp rating, Yellow got more expensive.... but the Orange stripes are still Orange stripes.

I'm considering orange stripes on my IOM SS. Much like the flat black stripes on gloss black or the dark gray on black, I'm hoping to find a shade of orange that will be subtle and look good. Has anyone seen an IOM Camaro with orange stripes?

We do painted stripes any color, any style - solves this whole debate. PM me for details if you are interested.

...and yes, you can get vinyl with metalflake in the pigment. I have silver stickers on my car and they look metallic just like the paint.

yes, there is someone here on C5 that did that, they are jsut a little dirrerent shade, makes them look kind of like ghost stripes.....you might check the photos ' section.

That's exactly what I'm after. Am only going to do hood spears and the rear bar between the lights on the rear. Might go for some transparent gill inserts too. I want it to be super subtle.

That is a cool effect. Flat black on a gloss black car is a great look, Cyber Grey on Black. A pearl ghost or IOM with a touch of bright silver to bring the shade a tick lighter would be awesome on IOM. I also like cyber grey on IOM (better than black to be honest) as it gives the same effect as black stripes, but has metallic so it blends better with the metallic orange. ...$.02. I had them side by side one orange was like a damn parking cone while the one on mine was tomato reddish. Both were on the same black color camaros 2. They both said Black Orange stripes Unless the brighter one was coustom done or maybe painted on i really wasn't paying attention. And the web site is totaly off but not long ago the orange stripes on the flash player were red-orange now there puke orange.

I do not understand. Orange should just be orange. Not red/orange. If you want more red then just get red. If you want orange, then get orange. IO, is not true orange to me.
