First, changed the stock bulb for the LEDs:
 Mounted the bulbs into the stock connector base:  9V battery test:  Here is a little video of one of my lights being tested in a dark storage hallway. I used my cell phone for this so don't mind the shotty video and a 9V battery for power source: Here they are installed:
